Stair Chairs

Stair Chairs are a cost-effective way to reliably ride above the stress, strain and hazards stairs can present. Both the K2 Plus and Stairfriend are fully CSA-B355 compliant making them a great choice for both residential and commercial installations.

Stairfriend                        Curved Stair Chair

Get the most out of your curved, L shaped, U shaped or whatever shape your stairs may be with Savaria’s Stairfriend.  Each Stairfriend rail is custom made to fit every turn, meander and change in pitch that your building stairs might follow.  Stairfriends are battery powered so they will always run when you need them to, and minimal if any change to your existing building power, makes for a hassle free installation.  Multiple landing zones allow one chair to service multiple floors, and the ability to park the chair out of the way when not in use makes Stairfriends incredibly versatile.

K2 and K2 Plus                Straight Stair Chair

Savaria K2 and K2 Plus are reliable and comfortable battery powered stair chairs.  Even in a power outage, the K2 will make sure you can always get upstairs to sleep soundly in your own bed.  The K2 is rated for 350lbs, and is able to be folded to take up only 10 ¾” of your stairway. The Plus model features a larger seat, and a weight capacity up to 400lbs (350lbs commercial). K2s require minimal, if any modification to your existing building wiring because they charge from a normal 15A 120VAC outlet. The included dual RF remotes allow you to call and send the chair as needed making sure that you are never upstairs without a chair.

Vertical Platform Lifts

Vertical platform lifts are a great way to get the convenience of an elevator at a fraction of the price.  Whether you need to get up a couple of steps at your front door, have an existing hoist-way, or want a lift that can just travel through the floor we have a vertical platform lift for you.

V1504

Savaria’s V1504 may be the most versatile lift on the market.  The V1504 is a commercial-grade hydraulic chain drive lift, rated for 750lbs, and can travel up to 23’ with 4 stops.  It can be installed in a hoist-way, without a hoist-way or with its own hoist-way enclosure.  Whether you need a single entrance, through cab, or an L shaped installation, the V1504 can be configured to match your unique needs.

Multilift

The Savaria Multilift is an indoor/outdoor rated vertical platform lift that is designed from the ground up to be able to withstand the worst weather Canada can throw at it.  It can lift 750lbs with ease and travel up to 6’. The durable acme screw drive makes Multilifts one of the lowest maintenance, yet reliable vertical platform lifts on the market.  Multilifts are fully CSA-B355 compliant making them an excellent choice for both commercial and residential installations.

Telecab Through                  the Floor Lift

If you are looking for a vertical platform lift but don’t have the space for a hoist-way, a Telecab might be for you.  Telecab’s are built upon the tried and tested V1504 drive system but offer a unique twist.  The Telecab is designed to travel up, through the ceiling, picking up the floor above.  Telecab’s consist of a fully enclosed glass cab with safety sensors above and below, mounted to a tower.  They give you the convenience of a vertical platform lift but only take up a few square feet when the cab is on another floor.  The Telecab17 model is rated for an impressive 845lbs and can travel up to 23’.

Inclined Platform Lifts

Inclined platform lifts (IPL) consist of a rail system mounted either to the wall or to posts secured to stair treads, and a platform that drives up the rails.  IPLs are great for wheelchair users because passengers just wheel onto the platform and go, their wheelchair rides with them.  Both the Savaria Delta and Omega are equipped with a fold down seat, further increasing the utility of these commercial grade lifts.  Power fold/unfold and automatic ramps options make Savaria IPLs incredibly easy to operate.  Pendant controls allow the passenger or an attendant to operate the lift without having to reach for a fixed car station.

Delta

The Savaria Delta is a battery powered, rack and pinion drive inclined platform lift.  Even in a power outage the Delta will make sure you can get where you need to go.  A capacity of 550 lbs allows the Delta to carry power chairs with ease and because it is charged by a normal 15A 120VAC plug, there is generally minimal additional electrical work required. Savaria Deltas can only be installed in straight run applications.

Omega

The Savaria Omega curved platform lift follows the curves and pitch changes of most stairways making it an incredibly versatile solution to barrier free requirements.   The ability to stop at multiple landings means a single Omega can service up to 50m of stairway, at grades up to 45 degrees.  The motor is mounted in line with the top of the rails and the small remotely mounted control box keeps installations free of obtrusive towers.  The versatility of a curved rail allows the platform to be folded and parked out of the way when not in use.
